Steve began racing in the fall of 2002 in the Jr Stock Kart Division. In 2003, he competed in 70 events at the Club, Regional and National levels. A few highlights were: grabbing the checkers in the Milford Grand Prix Jr Stock and a 3rd in the Jr Restricted Class. Steve also finished 3rd at Monrovia and 2nd at Sandyhook in the Jr Stock Kart Class. In 2004, Steve competed in over 40 races in no fewer than 4 different classes. In the first half of 2004, Steve raced Jr Light, Jr Heavy and Restricted Jr Classes. For the second half of the season, he made a move to the Sr Sportsman Class.
In 2005 Steve ventured into a new type of racing ... 358 Sprint Cars. He had an outstanding rookie year finishing 12th in points at Trailway Speedway. That included 1 top 5, 4 top 10’s, 2 Heat wins, numerous top 5 heat finishes, and 1 consi win. For 2006 Stephen is looking to expand his racing experience to include not only Trailway’s but also Lincoln Speedway. Outside of the track Steve is going to finish up his senior year on the FSK High School Varsity Wrestling Team, and completing the Career and Tech Automotive Technology Program as well as keep busy at the shop maintaining the race cars.
