We had a great run, holding a strong 3rd and 4th for most of the race. On lap 21 the yoke came loose and broke, so we pulled in for a DNF. Despite the finish, we had an exciting first night back at Trail-Way.

It was an exciting night for our 81 team. After several tough nights and several weeks off in between, we came out of this race just outside of a top 10 finish. Great Job!

After a great showing at Trail-Way, we came back for a tough night at Lincoln. We didn't make it into the feature after the heat, so we geared up for the consi. We started in 5th, but missed on the feature with a 6th place finish.

Another good run at Trail-Way. We were able to come back from a shaky heat race to finish the feature strong, just outside of the top 10.

Tonight we had a bad magneto which didn't help our performance. We dropped to last in the heat race and had to race in the consi. Unfortunately, we had a 10th place finish in the consi, so we didn't make it into the feature.

Great night back for the 81 team with our first top 10 finish! The first few laps of the heat were a little rusty, but Steve picked it up for the last 2 laps coming from last position and finishing 4th. The car was running strong and he finished the feature with a 7th place on a very rough track.

Good run on a new track. After a couple laps of adjustment in the heat race, Steve picked it up for a 6th place finish. He was running hard in the feature, making a pass on the outside for 12th, but got into the wall and ended our night. Overall, we're really happy with our first race at Selinsgrove.

Awesome night at Trail Way tonight. We owe this one to the pit crew. We had a tough heat race due to car trouble, which the pit crew was able to fix in time for the feature. The car was running great for the feature and we quickly got as high as 6th. An oil line came loose in lap 21 and, to our advantage, we had a red flag lap 23 due to another wreck (the driver involved was OK). We took the car off and the pit crew worked hard and got him back on the track for the green-white-checker finish. He started at the back of the pack and was able to make a couple strong passes to get an 11th place finish. Great passing and great run. Awesome work by the pit crew. Our finish doesn't really reflect what an exciting night we had.

The car was running great tonight and we had an awesome heat run. Unfortunately, we were behind an early wreck that we could not avoid, and ended our night.

Thank you to the Carroll County 4-H Fair for inviting us to display our car this weekend. This was a great promotional opportunity for the 81 team. We had the pleasure of being on display with Diz Dean, Allen Calt (The Eastern Museum of Motorsports Racing) We also had a great time talking to everyone who stopped by, and hopefully gained a few new fans. We had a couple of very special visitors. Thanks to Patrick Reilly for his interest as a potential sponsor for next year. We look forward to talking more with him very soon. Also, thanks to Jerry Parrish, car owner for the #21, 410 driver Brian Montieth We really appreciated his time, all of his pointers, and the invitation to hang out in the pits with the 21 team. Great weekend at the Carroll County 4-H Fair!

After our heat finish, we had to race in the consi. It ended up being a checkered flag consi, so we made it into the feature, but had to start in the back of the pack. We were having some motor-overheating problems, so we couldn't push it too hard. Fortuantely, we avoided all of the wrecks, passed several cars and finished that race a solid 14th, picking up the "Hard Charger Award" for that night.
